: Pamela Mang

Pamela is a founding member of Regenesis Collaborative Development Group, Inc. She works with project development teams and community groups to build critical systems thinking skills and holistic planning processes and designs that can address complex systems problems and opportunities. Her work draws on 25 years in consulting experience specializing in Living Systems Thinking™ and educational and human development processes. She has over 25 years of experience in managerial and consulting capacities in both the public and private sector, serving a wide variety of nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and businesses. Her experience includes community relations, leadership and team development, design and implementation of effective meeting processes, strategic and operational planning, marketing and public relations, and union, community and cross-cultural relations in government, non-profit and corporate settings.

She has authored several articles and book chapters on living systems approaches to design, development and organization including: “What is Education For?”, Independent School, Spring 2005; Dancing with Living Systems—Designing for Life, Fox HavenVoices of the Land; “Regenerative Design and the Evolution of the Sustainable Design Field”, Design Intelligence; “A Work in Progress at DuPont—The Creation of a Developmental Organization” (co-author), The New Paradigm in Business; “New Wine, Old Bottles—The Dilemma of Organization Change”; "A Self-Organizing Leadership View of Paradigms" (co-author), The New Business of Business.  She developed the curriculum for “Sustainability—Bringing the Challenge Home”, a World Business Academy dialogue series. Published research papers include reports for the U.S. Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory on barriers and opportunities for growing public support for green building and solar energy solutions.

Prior to the founding of Regenesis, she consulted to corporations in Europe, the United States and Canada. Clients include such companies as DuPont, Colgate, Pacific Telesis and Pacific Bell, Clorox, private and public foundations, city, county and federal agencies.  Her corporate work involved integrating operations, marketing, administration, and organization development with strategic business/service pursuits. She is a member of the Institute for Developmental Processes which has provided the architecture for developmental business organizations around the world, some of which have served as models of meaningful work and competitive effectiveness for over 30 years.

As President of Jessica's Love, a private foundation, Pamela works with community organizations, helping them bring holistic approaches to the evolution of human and natural living systems.

Education: She has degrees in International Relations and in the Economics of Development from Stanford University and she did a year of post-graduate work at Columbia University.  Since 1981, she has been involved in ongoing research and education in systems thinking, organization design and human development through the Institute for Developmental Processes.
