Services : Understanding Relationship to Place
Regenesis

Regenerative Development™ projects grow from a relationship to place— revitalizing the land and all who inhabit it.

Services : Understanding Relationship to Place

"We used the assessment during our permit process and acquired an environmental permit in an unprecedented five months. (We're told it normally takes a year, maybe longer.) The directors of Natural Resources, Environment, Ecology, and Planning departments on the state and federal levels in Baja California Sur, Mexico, were apparently so impressed with the Site Assessment report, the work and depth of understanding it represented, they accelerated the process for us."

: Understanding Relationship to Place

laying the foundation for success

<<return to services

Place—the unique interweaving of nature, geology and human culture, is a community and/or a development's most precious asset. When we grow the right relationship, we can work with, rather than against, the wisdom of nature and culture of a place. This creates a steadily improving asset base and an inspiring project. Regenesis helps lay that foundation through our Integral Assessment®:

We conduct a whole systems (cultural, economic, geographic, climatic, and ecological) assessment of site and place as living systems.

We look for what is integral to how they work as dynamic, interrelated wholes, and to their unique nature.

We create a patterned understanding of how natural and human forces have shaped, and continue to shape, the place and site, and the implications for the future.

We compare the current trajectory to the inherent evolutionary potential (what it has the potential to be).

We look at the development implications—opportunities and hazards.

And we make recommendations for how humans can enable the health and continuing evolution of a place and themselves as a part of it.

The Result? The foundation for an inspiring and inspiriting project that weaves the diverse needs of people and nature into a harmonious, sustainable whole.
